The Panama Papers, Shell Companies, and the Continuing Risks to Organizations:

The Panama Papers revealed in 2016 that there is a global network of individuals, entities and organizations whose sole purpose is to assist others in the disguising their ownership and control of third parties. Despite the media focus and follow on investigations, little has been done to mitigate the growing threat of shell company usage by bad actors.
